Our Sleeping Prince

Had to get a picture of this. So sweet. But also not a happy camper when he wakes up and his leg is stuck between the slats!

Bo's First Birthday

Even though I am excited to be in Houston, I so wished we could have been in Memphis to celebrate Bo's 1st birthday! We missed celebrating with all the people who knew Bo "in-utero"! We did have a special celebration at the church office, and were blessed to have some special friends with us (some of Robert's new colleagues). It was sweet of them to be there to wish Bo a happy birthday and to eat some cake. I made a homemade carrot cake from a recipe out of the family cookbook. I must say, it was delicious!

Bo was a little overwhelmed. He was in a new place with some new people, who were laughing and watching him. The frown was a result.

He loved the cake, and got just a little messy!

to the pool!

Praise the Lord there is a pool at our new apartment complex! We keep hearing that the summer months are unbearable in Houston, so we will be visiting the pool often! Bo loves the water! He likes to splash and play on the steps, and ride in his baby float (a great gift from his G.G.!). The only drawback is the time it takes to change him into his swimmie diapers and swimsuit, and grease him down with sunscreen.

Packing up

Just a few pics of our house in Memphis during packing time. A few words to describe that situation: awful, stressful, not fun, cramped...you get it. Thankfully, I had some great friends (thanks MJ and Dana!!) to take Bo off of our hands a couple of days, so we could go full force at getting packed up. Don't know what I would have done without them!
